Overview

AID Inc. is an international development research and consulting company founded in 2004, in the Caribbean by academic lecturers and specialist consultants, in close partnership with community actors and decision-makers. Our UK satellite unit was formed in 2008 with the focus on building strategic and funding partnerships between LAC operations, donors and global development organisations. AIDInc was formed to fill an urgent need for comprehensive policy and health/social research and skills-building in the Caribbean region and to operate as a programme management unit for mobilising regional and international research and consultant teams, in delivering hands-on technical assistance, national and regional surveys, rapid reviews to inform policy issues and debates and manage implementation short medium and longer term programmes and projects.

We use our expertise in both quantitative and qualitative techniques to accurately identify, measure, monitor and evaluate problematic issues, system dynamics, outcomes and impending scenarios across all our research and consulting technical areas representing priority health and social development issues in the regions we target. We go further to develop and implement evidence-based policies, strategies and programmes solutions to alleviate these issues and their impacts.

We operate through our core team and long-standing partnerships with associate consultants and specialists in our focus areas. During this extended era of constrained resources, this means the key to our efficiency is in our contained overheads, development of innovative products that imorve efficiency of our operatons, resource-sharing, promotion of country ownership and strengthened local NGO institutional capacities through meaningful engagement and lasting partnerships. Not least, our wide-reaching community, government, private sector and consultant/expert partnerships during fact-finding and programme implementation;

Our Core Focus

We have a strong track record in managing and implementing short, medium-term programmes and projects, and in capacity-building and institutional strengthening. We specialise in the health and social development sectors, health systems research and evaluation and M&E consultancies, to inform policy and programme development and services restructuring. We undertake policy analyses and reviews and analysis, operational research on the outcomes and impact of health and social initiatives, strategic planning, M&E systems development We also undertake programming within education and private sector firms and operate as a knowledge hub, providing programming and research training and institutional strengthening for governments, CSOs, NGO, universities and national champions.
